Dear Qualistar Community,
We are writing to you today to report on the future of Qualistar. Qualistar believes without question that investing in early childhood development is the single most transformational way to support our future generations. With that vision driving our mission, we are announcing that after nearly 20 years working to elevate the quality of early childhood education in Colorado, Qualistar will sunset at the end of 2018.
We are excited to announce that several key programs historically operated by Qualistar will be adopted by strong, aligned partners in the early childhood space who will ensure that the work not only sustains but also thrives in this next chapter.
- Clayton Early Learning will adopt the Assessment and Training programs. Clayton Early Learning is an outstanding organization with the ability to steward the Assessment and Training programs going forward, in keeping with a shared focus on program quality and positive outcomes for our youngest Coloradans.
- The Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance (ECCLA) will adopt the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarship program. ECCLA’s statewide reach through the 34 Early Childhood Councils offers an excellent opportunity to elevate the visibility and impact of the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarship.
The Healthy Child Care Colorado initiative will spin off as a narrowly-focused entity. This targeted organization will carry forward 20 years of history, collaboration and best practice, fulfilling a crucially important role focused on health, safety, and wellness in early childhood settings.
We want to thank all those who have supported Qualistar throughout the years, helping us make great strides in increasing the quality of early childhood education in Colorado.
If you are currently a grant (QCAP, HBAF, ECHO) or T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship recipient, or have a scheduled assessment or training or are planning for an upcoming assessment or training, please look out for information concerning how this transition impacts you in the coming weeks. We will make these transitions as smooth as possible for our customers and partners.
We believe the transitions on the horizon are the best way to allow this important work to thrive, and most importantly, continue to support the children, families, and professionals who need them most.
